The Daily Castle

I may need to start a blog about cakes because I get a lot of searches about cakes. Now that I have written cake three times in this entry I will get a few more. Castle cakes are in big demand and I mean a cake in the shape of a castle, not a castle cake made by a Castle Mom.

Blogs are funny. I don’t usually like to talk about what I write here with people I actually know. I know you read it  because sometimes I will be talking with someone and they will mention something I wrote on here. Sometimes I forget what I wrote and I’m all  How did you know that? Freaks me out a little. I know, I am crazy.

It would be nice if people who read all about the Castle’s lives would leave a comment once in awhile. Every day would be good. My mom gets an out because she doesn’t know how to comment. I’m lucky she just started reading a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think my brother reads yet. And I know Larry’s family doesn’t. So I can still write about them and get away with it. Kidding.

I was at a Bible study the other night and someone named Tracy mentioned something on the blog. I told her I would mention her here. I also have friends named Kim and Benita that like to lurk here. Hi Girls!

So I’m just sayin’ would it kill you all to comment?

You get many more comments than I do on my blog, Julie. Even when I was posting a lot more than I am now.

    So there.

You have to admit, I do occasionally comment (ok, I did twice!). I do like your blog–you write well!

i think we share some weird brain action. it cracks me up to see my thoughts in writing…. i don’t often chit chat about things i write either. i too get freaked out when “randoms” — for lack of a better name of people who i don’t know well– come up to me wherever and start talking about some goof ball story i told. freaks me right out. then i realize what they’re talking about and i get all nervous. it’s much easier with fam and close friends b/c they are usually the ones making my life crazy enough to write goof ball stories.

and btw, i’m not commenting b/c you told me to. i would never give in to such peer pressure. :) i only wanted to let you know i think the same way and you’re not crazy…. ok, not entirely crazy. of course, coming from me is that really an affirmation of hope? haha!

    Julie:

well i do comment on occasion but I do want to offer what I think to be the best reason why anyone wouldn’t leave a comment. I live in a place where your blog is not always allowed for me to read SOOO i can only read your blog through an anonymous proxy that for some reason does NOT allow me to comment…only read. AND the other half the time I can only read your blog through bloglines (because the anonymous proxies are blocked) and they dont let me comment either.

I say all this to let you know that, I, am perhaps your most loyal reader. You see if I do all this work just to read about your cakes, and childrens antics and of course let us not forget Larry the House husband ….then really my lack of commenting can be forgiven right? Isn’t it the attempt that counts? The mere gesture of the pursuit of reading your words of wisdom is enough to say I love you ….right? Cuz you do know I love ya dont you?

PS thanks for the entertainment…we dont have TV over here but we DO have JULIE!! YIPPPEEEEE!

    Hey Julie….
I am a regular reader of your site also. I also enjoy reading all the ones in your side bar …please don’t ever delete any of them. I kinda stay silent because all of you guys are so young and I feel kinda like I’m easedropping! I truly do enjoy reading about your families….kinda makes me feel like we’re still a part of Inter City! Just keep blogging!

    Julie,

Somehow I missed this post earlier. It didn’t show up on bloglines, which is usually how I read blogs.

I know how you feel about folks who read regularly, but refuse to comment. I have a number of relatives who read mine regularly, but have never commented. I feel like telling them next time they call, I’m just going to listen to them talk and not say anything back. But that would probably come across as snobby :)

I comment alot, so wasn’t going to comment here – but started feeling guilty. :) So it’s late, but it’s a comment about commenting. Hmmm – have you ever commented on MINE!?!?!?! hee hee
